I personally met Joe in the early 1980s when he met and later married my mum, I cant say i liked the early years due to mum divorcing dad to marry you Joe. But as i grew a little older i realized that you was a good man who loved my mum and im sure you never would of broke up a family,then again when i think back my family was well broke. see you was a family man yourself. As hard as us girls could sometimes be to cope with you took it on the chin. Cant say i blame you for the times you'd go stay in the lodging houses cause when we got older and matured it'd be my mum that was being a pain. You had 4 sons Joe,Gary,Martin and Steven. You didnt get to see as much of them as i know you would of liked. Gary lost his life at the age of 10yrs from which i know you always missed him. You'd visit his grave every week regardless of the weather. I strangely felt comforted when you passed away that you would be together again. I never really did thankyou for everything you did for my family. Recently your Martin lost his life at the age of 42yrs, im sure your all together again. I hope you have found peace for all the heartaches you felt regarding your boys. Joe asks me each time i see him bits about your final days he also said he wishes he could of spent time with you before you parted our world.
